Propel Pro™, Vermont Soccer Association Launch Vermont Development Program to Expand Statewide Access to Elite Coaching
Partnership introduces a structured, statewide pathway with year-round training, direct coach access, and personalized development tools for athletes across Vermont
June 8, 2026 — Propel Pro, a digital coaching platform connecting athletes with experienced coaches, and the Vermont Soccer Association (VSA) today announced the launch of the Vermont Development Program (VDP), a unified, statewide initiative designed to expand access to high-quality soccer development for athletes across Vermont.
The launch follows a successful pilot within VSA's Olympic Development Program and represents a significant step forward in creating a more accessible, consistent, and scalable model for player development statewide.
The Vermont Development Program serves as the foundation of the expanded partnership, introducing a structured development pathway available to athletes of all levels, regardless of club affiliation or geographic location. Designed and directed by VSA and powered by Propel Pro, the VDP provides multiple tiers of participation, ranging from a no-cost team-based entry point to advanced, individualized coaching experiences.
Through the platform, athletes gain direct access to coaching beyond traditional team environments. The VDP integrates live weekly group sessions, asynchronous video analysis with detailed coaching feedback, and individualized development plans (IDPs), creating a continuous development experience that extends well beyond scheduled practices and seasonal play.
"This partnership is about improving how athletes and coaches stay connected," said Daniel Levy, CEO and Founder of Propel Pro. "We're giving players a way to communicate directly with coaches, while also delivering consistent, personalized updates so they can actually see their progress over time. On top of that, we're offering flexible options, whether it's live sessions, group calls, or asynchronous feedback, so development doesn't stop when practice ends."
A core focus of the initiative is addressing longstanding access challenges across Vermont, particularly in rural and underserved communities. By leveraging a digital-first model, the VDP enables athletes to train more consistently, engage with coaches year-round, and take greater ownership of their development.
"It comes down to access," said Andrew Minnis, Executive Director of Vermont Soccer Association. "There are a lot of players here who want to train more but don't always have the opportunity through their local clubs. This gives them a way to take ownership of their development and stay engaged more consistently. It also creates more touchpoints between players and coaches, which is something we've been missing. When you apply this the right way, that's where the real value shows up."
The VDP is structured across clearly defined age bands (8–10, 11–14, 15–19), ensuring that programming is tailored to each stage of athlete development. Participants can engage through a tiered system that includes foundational content, live coaching sessions, coach-led Q&A, performance tracking, and access to an extended network of coaches, including specialists in strength and conditioning, position-specific training, and mental performance.
Every athlete and team can enter the program at no cost, with a 30-day trial providing full access to the Select tier experience, including live sessions, coaching feedback, and development planning. This approach reinforces the program's commitment to accessibility while introducing athletes to a comprehensive, structured development model.
The initiative builds on early success within the Olympic Development Program, where Propel Pro supported VSA as both a technology partner and jersey sponsor. That pilot validated the platform's ability to enhance communication between players and coaches while creating more consistent development opportunities across the state.
With the platform now fully operational, the Vermont Development Program marks the transition from a controlled pilot to a scalable, statewide system that empowers athletes to train on their own schedule, connect with coaches more frequently, and follow a clear path for long-term development.
For coaches, the platform creates new opportunities to expand their reach, work with more athletes consistently, and deliver meaningful guidance without being limited by geography or traditional scheduling constraints.
